Hello! I’m Edy, a chef, caterer and business owner based in Brooklyn, New York. Born and raised in Lebanon, my work is always inspired by the flavors and colors of the Middle East. My take on Mediterranean cuisine directly stems from the recipes I grew up perfecting in my grandmother’s kitchen, who taught me everything from a young age and inspired me to stay true to my roots as a Middle Eastern chef until today.
After I immigrated to the U.S, I have continuously researched to find the right ingredients that were not easily accessible stateside. I began experimenting with familiar techniques from Lebanon, and found the right balance by recreating the distinct essence of Lebanese food but with a modern twist.
So, apart from private chef services and catering in the new york city metropolitan area, I opened my first storefront, edy’s grocer in August 2020. This Lebanese Grocer & Deli is the only LGBTQIA+ owned market in north Brooklyn supplying the community with Middle Eastern Mezze, prepared foods, and groceries.
It’s my greatest privilege to continue spreading the love and joy of Lebanese cooking here in new york city. come by the grocer in greenpoint to say hello and get a taste of my kitchen!
